I recently received the news that I had been anonymously nominated for the Red Cross Real Heroes Awards in New Mexico and have been honored with the award of Youth Good Samaritan. While I will not be able to attend the awards event due to previous commitments I am extremely honored to have received this award. Thank you to the Red Cross and to my anonymous nominator.
I am so honored to have been named the Veterans of Foreign Wars Scout of the Year for New Mexico 2014. This is a scholarship competition where Boy Scouts who have earned the Eagle Scout and Girl Scouts who have earned the Gold Award compete. I am the first Girl Scout to ever win at the State Level in New Mexico and I hope many more girls will also earn this award in the future. Since I am a state winner I am now competing at the National Level, the results of which will be announced later this summer. For more information about this award and past winners please look here http://www.vfw.org/Community/Scout-of-the-Year-Scholarship/
The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards was an amazing experience. The people I met there were very inspiring and had accomplished and will continue to accomplish great things. Thank you to Prudential for such an amazing experience. For more information about the awards and the 10 National Winners please go here spirit.prudential.com
