The Book Ball was a huge success!! Thank you to all who came, I hope you had a great time! The Book Challenge was also a huge success. The Troops went far and beyond my expectations and the winning troop brought in close to 700 books! Yes, 700! Congratulations! In total the Troops brought in almost 2000 Books!! This brings the total book count for the library up to 2500 books! Wow!! Thank you for being a part of this event! The offical opening ceremony of the Giving Library was yesterday! The managment staff of Sandoval Regional Medical Center, Sarah Cobb from Senator Udall's office, and a tv crew from Channel 7 were in attendence. Thank you to all those who came and your continuing support!
On March 28th I met with the mayor of Rio Rancho to film a segment for his monthly talk show. I'm not sure when it will air but be looking out for it!
I met with the Friends of the Rio Rancho library a few days ago and they have agreed to partner with the Giving Library. 4 times a year they will donate books to the Giving LIbrary!

Yesterday I meet with a reporter from the Albuquerque Journal at the Sandoval Regional Medical Center for a interview. We took some photos and chatted for a bit about my project with my advisor Erica. Look for the article in tomorrows (Thursdays) newspaper! I'll post the link when I have it.
This past Monday I meet with Sarah Cobb, a member of Senator Udall's office here in Albuquerque. She was very supportive of the project!! She even said there is a possibility that the Senator will attend my official opening ceremony (Date coming soon)! And if he couldn't attend she said that she could attend and read a statement from the Senator. Overall a productive meeting :D
